SPOILERS: In-depth Recap/Transcript for April 27

Sami, Lucas, Will, and Allie are at Horton Town Square for Family Day. Will is giving Allie a piggyback ride. awwww

Will: *grunting*
Sami: *laughing*
Lucas: Lunge all the way down, come on.
Sami: *laughing*
Lucas: There you go.
Sami: Whoa. Wow.
Lucas: That's gotta hurt.
Sami: I love seeing them together.
Lucas: Yeah, it's great. I guess outdoor family day must've been Lexie's idea. Probably the last good idea the mayor's office will have since, you know-
Sami: She's dying.
Lucas: Yeah, I'm sorry.
Sami: Lucas.
Lucas: I'm sorry, I can't stop thinking about it.That's why I wanted to spend today with you and the kids. You know, Sydney and Johnny, they could've come too.
Sami: I was thinking that- that too, but, um, we had those plans with Ciara, and so it all worked out. Grandma's taking them to the zoo.
Lucas:Oh, okay. You know, it's the first day since I've been back all four of us are together.
Sami: *chuckling* Well, now that you're staying, we can do this a lot more often.
Lucas:You know what? I'd like that. Very much.
Sami: Me too.
Lucas: Be nice. *takes Sami's basketball*
Sami: Whoa.
Lucas: Can't hold on-
Sami: Lucas. *laughing*

*

Sami: Gimme! Come on, come on, come on.
Lucas: You can have it, have it, don't hurt me.
Sami: Here, Allie. *passes Allie the ball* Yay, you're on my team! Good job. See? This is so much fun. Will, I'm so glad you could join us.
Will: Oh, of course, I would never miss spending the day with Dad and Allie.
Sami: So what do you wanna do first, Allie? There's a trampoline, the potato sack races, lots of fun stuff.
Lucas: And later we're going to kick some you-know-what in the hoop shooting conest.
Allie: I wanna kick some too.
Lucas: You gonna kick some with me?
Will: Okay, well, here, I'll teach you how to dunk, come on.
Sami: Whoa.
Will: Let's go.
Lucas: But not really.
Will: But really.
Lucas: No.

Will and Allie go over to the hoop. Sami hands Lucas a water bottle.

Lucas:Thanks. Come on. Just give him a little space, okay?
Sami: I know, I know. I've been trying to do that. It's just hard, you know?
Lucas: I know. He'll come around, just give him some time. He's a kid.
Sami: I'm trying, and I know I'm supposed to be patient. And I think I could be if I thought it was getting better, but it's not. It's getting worse.
Lucas: Well, no offense, but I didn't think it could get any worse.
Sami: Thank you. Thank you, Lucas. That's helping so much.
Lucas: I was just wondering why you'd say something like that.
Sami: Because I know that something's going on with him, something I have nothing to do with, and I can't help him.
Lucas: All right, okay. I'll talk to him later about it, but not today. Today, we stick to the ground rules.
Sami: Ground rules?
Lucas: Yeah, we got ground rules today. I didn't- I didn't tell you about that yet. Remember yesterday you were gonna have that drama-free day, and it didn't happen? Today we're gonna make it happen.

*

Lucas and Sami have a cute scene playing basketball, and then they race each other.

*

Sami: I win, I win! *laughing*
Lucas: Yeah, you trampled an old lady and a poodle on your way to victory. Yeah, you won, good job.
Sami: Oh, she was fine. I did not trample her.
Lucas: You had a head start. That wasn't fair.
Sami: I knew you were gonna bring that up.
Lucas: Let's start even and see what happens.
Sami: You are such a sore loser.
Lucas: Let's see what happens.
Sami: Who's competitive?
Lucas: I'm competitive.
Sami: Who's competitive?
Lucas: When I get beat I'm competitive.
Sami: *laughing*

Will comes back with Allie.

Will: Hey, ahoy.
Lucas: Hey, hey.
Sami: Hey.
Allie just climber to the top of the rock wall. Beat this guy three times her size.
Sami: No way.
Lucas: She did? High five, good job. *highfives Allie*
Will: *chuckling*
Lucas: No, hit it harder. *highfives again* there you go. Just like your mother, good job.
Will: Don't say that.
Lucas: It's a compliment.
Sami: Hey, sweetie, that was awesome, good for you. Yeah should we get the- oh, give me a hug, all right. Should we get some water? We could- oh, hey, your friend Olivia's right over there. You wanna go say hi?
Lucas: Careful.

Allie leaves.

Sami: You know, we saw you at the wall. You looked amazing. Went up it so fast. I can't- I don't know how you did it.
Lucas: Yeah, you scaled that thing, didn't you? He's all yoked up, he's been working out. Look at these guns.
Will: Well, I- I'm- I'm, Uh- my building has a gym, so-
Lucas: Nice.
Sami: Well... Ej's building, right?
Will: Oh, yeah. Is he paying for your place too? How's working for Stefano, by the way?
Lucas: You know, that's enough, both of you. We're here to have a good time, okay? I'm not gonna let either of you spoil it.

Sami walks away.

Will: I'm not spoil- okay, fine. But actually I do have one question for you. Why didn't you tell me you were staying in Salem? I'm not- I'm not- I mean, I'm glad. I- I am, but, I mean, what happened to your fiancee?
Lucas: Well, I was gonna tell you when we were alone, but, you know, um... she broke up with me. We're not getting married.
Will: I'm sorry. What happened, huh? Wait, wait, actually, um, I'm gonna take a wild guess. Did it have something to do with you leaving her and coming half way across the world to rescue, uh, her? *points at Sami*
Lucas: I'm not rescuing anybody. I'm here for you and Allie too.
Will: *chuckling* Yeah. Congrats, Mom. What, it's not enough to wreck your own relationships, you gotta wreck Dad's too?

*

Lucas: You know what? You're mother doesn't deserve that. So why don't you treat her with some respect, and start acting like a member of this family? You got it?
Will: Yeah, I got it.

Sami walks over.

Sami: Hey, you know what? Your dad, um, made a real effort for today, so let's you and I do the same thing. Let's start over. I'm game if you are.

Allie comes back.

Will: Hey, what's up? *Allie hugs Will* Oh! Hey, you wanna hit the trampoline?
Allie: Yeah!
Lucas: Yeah? Okay, great. Come on, come on.
Sami: Be careful.
Will: Uh, yeah, of course.

Will and Allie leave.

Sami: Do you think it's safe over there?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah, he's- he's fine. He's got everything under control.
Sami: Yeah, I mean, I know that he would do anything to protect Allie. He's such a good big brother. I mean, he's always... always looked after his- his brother and his sisters. He's fantastic, except when I'm around.
Lucas: Relax. It'll get better, okay? I promise.
Sami: *ahem* I hope so. You remember when he was little? I remember I was petrified to even let him play on the swings or the slide. I- I was so afraid that he would fall because-
Lucas: Because what?
Sami: Because I was 18 years old, and I had no idea what I was doing. I mean, It's not like-
Lucas: Like what?
Sami: It's not like I had a good role model of how to be a mother, you know? My mom never had a chance to even show me what to do, or help me through any of it. And then I realized, you know, she had her own issues, and... It's like Carrie. Did I ever tell you about the time that she pushed me off the slide when I was four?
Lucas: She did not.

Sami chuckles.

Sami: See that? You don't even believe me.
Lucas: It's not that I don't believe you, it's just kind of hard to picture, you know?
Sami: It's all right, it's fine, it's the story of my life, you know? She- she did. She pushed me off the slide on purpose, I fell, I landed on my hand, and- and I had to get a splint on my middle finger, and the whole time, it was sticking straight up-

Lucas laughs.

Sami: It's not funny. I was-
Lucas: It's kind of funny. The middle finger? Come on. I'm sorry, I apologize, go on.
Sami: It's just that nobody believed me. She said it was an accident, and so everyone, of course, took her word for it. I know this isn't about Carrie, all right? I don't need you to tell me that. Look, it's just that it's- it's hard. You- you look back on your childhood, and you look back on everything that we went through with- with Stefano taking my dad away, and taking my mom away.
Lucas: I know, I know.
Sami: And John was great. Look, I can look back now and I- I can see what an effort he was making for us. And Eric and I were surrounded by Bradys. I mean, we have a loving family, but everyone had issues. Everyone had major things that they were working through. And- and Eric and I, we felt like we had to suck it up.
Lucas: Must've been tough for you guys.
Sami: Tough is what makes you strong, right? *clears throat*
Lucas: It also makes you who you are. So I'm glad all those things happened. I'm really glad those crazy things happened to you when you were growing up. Made you who you are. I wouldn't change a thing.

*
Will, Allie, Sami, and Lucas are all back together.

Lucas: I cannot believe you went for a double-somersault like that.
Sami: *laughing*
Lucas: Definitely not a no-drama moment
Sami: Yes, go sit with your dad. I know, I can't believe I did it either, actually. *sighs*
Lucas: Well, I guess you proved me wrong, didn't you? You still got it.
Sami: Yeah, I guess you do.
Lucas: Yeah, you do. You know, your mom was on the all-county gymnastics team when she was in 11th grade. She was awesome.
Will: Really? I didn't know that.
Sami: Well, I didn't make it to the championship  tournament or anything, because I-
Will: Because- oh, because you got pregnant with me.
Sami: Well, it's not like I was Shannon Miller or anything. Besides, I ended up with a better prize.
Lucas: I got pictures in a yearbook to show you sometime, if you don't believe me.
Sami: Oh, please don't do that, no, no. No yearbook. Unless we make popcorn, and then we show my embarrassing pictures and my bad hair, and Daddy in his military uniform.
Lucas: No. No. No.
Sami: I still have those pictures. Sound like a date?
Will: Um... I'll, uh- thanks. I'm gonna pass though. I mean, I wish things could be like that again, but, um, they can't.

Will leaves.

*

Sami and Lucas are tickling Allie.

Sami: Still laughing.
Allie: *giggling*
Lucas: Come here. Did you have a good time today with your mom and your dad?
Allie: The trampoline was the best.
Lucas: Was it?

Will comes back.

Will: Hey. Hey, you ready for that, um, berry, fruity smoothie I promised you?
Lucas: She gets a smoothie? Aw, man.

Will picks Allie up.

Will: Yeah? Okay, great. And then I'm taking you over to Grandma's for your favourite dinner.
Allie: Mac and Cheese?
Will: Yeah, Mac and Cheese.
Sami: Yikes.
Will: Okay. See you, Dad.
Lucas: All right, I'll see you soon.
Will: Um, I'm glad you're staying. Really, I am.
Lucas: Thanks.
Sami: See you later, Miss Gator. *hugs* So fun today. And, uh, just let Grandma know we'll be by to pick her up after.
Will: All right. Can you grab her-
Sami: Oh, here you go.
Lucas: Oh, yeah, can't forget the balloons.
Sami: No, no, awesome.
Lucas: Souvenir time.
Will: Okay, see you.
Lucas: All right.

Will and Allie leave.

Lucas: *clears throat* Sorry about that.
Sami: Why are you sorry?
Lucas: Well, I just wanted today to be special for the kids.
Sami: It was. It was special. Allie had a great time.
Lucas: I think Will did too, as much as he doesn't want to admit it.
Sami: Well, I have no trouble admitting it. I had fun.
Lucas: Well, you don't have to say that, but thank you.
Sami: It's true. It was awesome. I mean... it's been a long time since we've had family time, and it was really special today, and it was special even if Will can't stand to be within 10 feet of me.
Lucas: Well, if he felt that way, he never would've come.
Sami: That's one way to look at it. And if there's one thing Will and I can agree on... I'm glad your back.

Sami hugs him.

Lucas: Aw, that makes three of us.

*

Lucas: I really do miss being with the kids like that, you know? I mean, the whole family.
Sami: I wish Will felt the same way.
Lucas: I'm sure he does. Just don't give up, okay?
Sami: Oh, never. I'm not gonna give up. I just wish he knew- believed me when I told him I love him.
Lucas: I'm sure he knows. You know what? I'll do whatever I can to help.
Sami: Thank you.
Lucas: For what?
Sami: For staying. For coming back in the first place. For hanging in there with me even when I won't listen to your advice. For chasing me down and making me face my life. But mostly for never giving up on me.
Lucas: That's it? That's no problem at all. It's my pleasure.

He kisses her on the cheek. They stare at each other and then kiss.
